I live in Illinois. I DoorDash Dee's French toast and sausage to my son in Goldsboro most every weekend because he says it's the next best thing to mine (and I'm a damn fine cook). He loves it every time. He is especially fond of the sausage.
I went for breakfast/lunch on a Sunday. Which I found out on Sundays is a wildcard for what special they have. The special for the day was country fried steak, unfortunately they had run out by the time I got there. So I got the Bacon cheeseburger instead and it was delicious. Fries were super good too! It was extremely busy in there the entire time, but it was just after church ended so it was expected. It's a bit of a drive from where I come from, but the food was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!
Stopped into the Diner on our way home to Maryland. Waitress was super nice and more than attentive. She spotted our requests and fulfilled them prior to our asking. Can't say that was the same for other servers. One server greeted w Her guests with a "we close soon and are cleaning up so if you could put in your order now it would be appreciate". ... Shocked to hear that kind of welcome. Food was very good for a little diner. Would recommend stoping in for a basic meal. Dining room is dated and could use a sprucing up.
What a great pit stop on the way home from the beach. Friendly service Food was comforting and delicious It felt very nostalgic, the diners I ate at when I was young. Lots of locals and families!! Wish I could have tried the lunch menu too. It looked yummy. Prices were not bad at all.
I've gotten food from here a few times. The staff is nice and friendly and very helpful. I usually call my order in for takeout and it's ready by the time I get there. My favorite is the bbq or the meatloaf. The chicken salad is good, too.
